When you overexert yourself, you may be tempted to cut back on your exercise routine in an effort to avoid putting yourself at risk, but cutting back on your exercise doesn’t always solve the problem. You may still be overeating and you’ll just end up hurting yourself even more. You may feel healthier for a day or two after cutting back on your exercise, but you’ll still be overeating and your weight problem will still be out of control.
Exercising to burn extra calories is a great way to lose weight. You need to eat fewer calories than you burn during exercise in order to lose weight. But exercising regularly does take some work on your part, and you may feel the reward after a while and feel like you’ve achieved your weight loss goals. But if you stop taking short breaks in between your exercise sessions, you could wind up getting even more frustrated because you have exceeded your daily calories burned target and are still gaining weight!
When you overexert yourself, especially when you are just starting out, it’s not uncommon to get stressed out. But doing too much exercise can lead to serious health problems, so make sure that you don’t overdo it and always get enough rest. You may also want to consult your doctor before starting a new exercise routine so that he or she can help you plan an exercise program that is right for you. If you do start an exercise program and you find that it too much of a hassle, or if your doctor suggests that you stop your current routine, talk with him or her about what you should do next to reduce your risk of health problems.
